Hi All,

Does anyone know if any companies have any plans to bring out a Rugby game for the 360. I have currently kept my PS2 just so i can play rugby 2008 and I want to know if its likely to come or or something similar on the 360

Cheers

Baz

I know its not next gen but you could play the original xbox ea rugby games and saw a rugby league game a while back. Could keep you busy until a 360 one comes out.

yeah tell me about it. It would be great if one comes out soon. Prefably in time for the six nations :)

I doubt it will though, there just doesnt seem to be the demand!!

There has yet to be a game to really replicate the game imo. The controls have always been quite poor. Im hoping for the new game to have more moves/skills etc.

I guess its quite difficult to give control to all parts because theres so much going on. Where as football is pretty much kick or kick.

Every rugby game I have ever played have been ****. Why cant they make them as good as there football/american football games I do not know.

Less demand unfortunately. The market for NFL games (America) is huge, thus more effort is expended. I would imagine the sales of Rugby games is limited, although may be larger in countries like Australia/NZ.

There's been no good rugby union games since Jonah Lomu Rugby on the PS1!

Couldn't agree with you more!

Used to love playing with some obscure team, and have the announcer say the player names.
One called something like "Langsannasongpong" always cracked us up :D

A PS3 remake of Jonah Lomu rugby would be fantastic. The control scheme on PS1 was perfect. In fact I'm going to lookup the developers and start an email campaign for a remake!

God that's convoluted!

Jonah Lomu Rugby was developed by Rage Software. In 2002, Rage Software was sold to Swordfish Studios for £1. In June 2005, Swordfish Studios was sold to Vivendi Universal Games.

Edit: Vivendi have been emailed! Viva le revival!

I rekon there would be a higher demand if they actually put effort into making there games, I know I would actually go and buy it then.. At this moment in time, with the current titles out.. theres no chance..
