360 scratched game advice

Well Ive been playing battlefield almost consantly over the past few days which I got off work but I started getting some unreadable disk errors and tonight the game just locks up for a while, then goes back to normal for a minute then locks up again. Its online so if it locks up I can run around but everyone else is stationary. I thought it was lag at first but my mate in the same game had no problems it must be the disk.

Should I return it to the highstreet store I bought it from or try a disk cleaning service at another highstreet gaming store?

My 360 hasnt been moved and battlefield has only been taken out of it once or twice.

Theres lots of thin scratches, nothing to deep but there is a lot.

Any advice?

Sounds more likely to be a dodgy 360 that the disk tbh,

substance sounds right, unless the scratches are really bad it could probs be your 360.

anyway i work in the the highstreet store where said disc cleaning takes place:

are they just general random scratches or are they rings?
if they are just light scratches the disc fixer should work fine and get looking good as new (cant guarantee it will work as small scratches usually dont hinder performance)

if they are rings then its pretty much done.

hint to you and all 360 owners:
dont have your 360 standing up, lie it down on a steady surface. if its standing up vibrations are more likely to cause rings

go back to dashboard before you eject disc. the 360 dosnt slow the disc down when it ejects mid play it just ejects it at full speed which can scratch the disc badly
