Not fired up the 360 for a while, and am needing a game for tomorrow night to play split screen with a mate. Any recommendations? We completed Left 4 Dead a couple of years ago, and have played the various COD games. Anything fun that can be played whilst having a few beers would be good!

Borderlands. Literally one of the most fun games i've had on split screen in recent years.
Fusion Frenzy 2 if you just want a laugh. Sumo clash is amazing haha.

The problem with Borderlands is length. Unless you're planning on playing with this person a lot then it's not worth it.

I've played both with a friend and we had much more fun with L4D2 tbh. Borderlands is more of a time investment

Ta - ideally it'll be something we can play for a few hours tomorrow and then probably not bother again for a few months... sounds like L4D2 might be best....

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (the first one) also the Rainbow Six games. If your into racing Split Second and Blur are really good.

Split screen

Halo, Halo 3, Halo Reach
Cods
Borderlands
Ultimate Alliance 1 & 2
Graw 1 & 2
Blur
SPLIT Second
Gears 1,2 & 3
Resident Evil 5
Kane and Lynch 1 & 2
R6; Vegas 1 & 2
Fear 3
Left 4 Dead 1 & 2

All fighting games.
All football games.
All wrestling games.

Minecraft
Perfect Dark

As you can tell I love local multiplayer lol.

Halo's, GoW's, L4D's, Borderlands, and Lego whatevers are prolly the best co-op split screen fun you can have.

My brother and I have spent many many an hour tearing through them :D

I quite liked Minecraft on the PC, but I know exactly what my mate will say!

Why not try it? I really didn't get minecraft, until I played it. Just finishing a 3 story castle now and working on a railway system :o. Full blown addiction now!

Burnout games are a blast on splitscreen too. Burnout 2 being my favourite but I don't think thats for xbox 360 sadly.

Also anything like street fighter can be a laugh. Especially if your both bad and you use those short fast moves and spam them. Had huge laughter over that. Skull girls has a free demo which because of how odd it is I found it amusing.

for minecraft you need a HD tv to play split-screen

Technically not true. It's mainly the connection to the TV which is the important thing, needs to allow it to be running at 720P or higher resolution via an HDMI, DVI, VGA, or component cable.

Mine works on a 6ish year old 26" LCD with no HD compatibility through VGA.
