I'd LOVE to know why exactly pgr's 1 and 2 aren't yet backwards compatible. PGR 1 was one of the big launch titles for the original xbox and i would have assumed one of the first to be emulated seeing as it was pretty popular, same for part 2. Was there too any effects using the nvidia chip used in them that would make emulating them impossible on ati tech?

FANTASTIC! I originally bought the xbox to play this after playing it on a mate's xbox. Totally unique (I have never played the Dreamcast original)

I just hope the BC supports it on the JSRF/Sega2002 disc... as the racer doesn't work despite being listed in the BC list.

*edit* ... Nope :( Or perhaps the update for us europe users isn't on the system yet ... but the download for an ISO is april 2007 so installing that way...

*edit* ... Doesn't like it on the JSRF/SegaGT2002 disc :mad: . You would think they'd make sure this disc worked under backwards compatibility seeing as it was bundled with the original xboxes and so many people may have hung onto it!

No, I think it's simply a case that they think it might adversely effect the sales of PGR3.

Put in full spectrum warrior, updated fine, went to do the Mout training, just to refresh myself. Game froze
Rebooted the xbox and the red light of doom.
 
Nice to get another update, a few cult favorites on the list as well which is good to see.

As much as I loved PGR1&2, I see no real need for them as PGR3 is out and availabe on budget as well.

Well with every update for the 360 there is always many people end up with bricked consoles. Look at the GH2 one for a start!

Yeap ring of death, i am raging, mainly becuase it happened the 1st time i tried to play FSW, which is making me think the update caused it. It is an awfull lot of coincidences that a lot of machines break during big update time.
Weighing up weather or not to get a replacement. Out of warranty, launch day machine. Was looking forward to Halo 3 beta and FM2 coming up, but cancelled my FM2 pre order just now :(
