Heya all
I'm still living in the past, playing my 360 on a 21" CRT without audio outs.
While i should be upgrading to a nice lurvly 32" LCD or bigger, theres not really much point as my living room isn't really big enough to really hold such a TV.
But this leaves me a problem, while my living room isn't big enough for a 32" TV it's fine for my B&W DM602's. But because the TV doesn't have any audio out and my amplifier isn't digital, how can i get 360 sounds to my speakers. Now i know theres a converter dongle but thats for HDMI, which my TV doesn't have, right?
So the obvious answer to me would be to run the advanced scart lead optical out through a DAC to my amp. I am wondering if anyone has done this, does it work nicely and was it worth the hassle and expense? also in the future would it be better to run the xbox through a dac (this is if i haven't upgraded to a x.x receiver) rather than getting the audio from the audio out on a TV
Cheers
