Hey folks.

I initially had a 360 at launch which I sold shortly after. However i might be getting another one soon :)

First time around I tried a third party vga lead from ebay on my 19" iiyama tft. The image seemed stretched and colours very pale - although I only had the chance to try pgr3.

If I get another 360, is it worth going through a decent vga lead on a 4:3 tft or will I still have these issues?

Thanks in advance :)

Its fine, get the offical one and no problems at all :)
.

Im waiting for my 360 yet, but the official one is fine round my cousins.

pgr 3 has aspect ratio issues on 4:3 TFT screens etc, it has to be set to 1024 x 768 or something to display correctly, if I remember correctly.

I found the colours washed out on VGA but that could have been my monitor. After some tinkering in the factory settings menu, I managed to get the colours as rich as they are on component.

That's right, PGR3 is fussy, Set at that res, it does look fine though.

There are reports of washed out colours, but I've used the MS VGA lead with a 4:3 19" TFT and my current widescreen and both look great.

I thought most reports of washed out colours were people using the VGA lead instead of component on LCD TVs.

I havent used my [official] vga cable on anything but my LCD TV atm, and on there it looks fantastic, not washed out at all... I've only heard bad things about third party vga cables on these forums.

Are the offical ones that much better than others, i have a joytech vga cable will the official give me a much better quality image ?
