360 via VGA -> Sound question?

Hello all, just a couple questions, firstly will a 360 look ok on a widescreen TFT? or will there be black bars etc? Secondly, i have a set of the creative THX 2.1 speakers for my computer, will i be able to plug the audio cable that comes with the VGA cable straight into the audio inputs (Left and right) on my sub? as previously when ive borrowed my brothers xbox (on my old tft) ive had to plug it into my computer and mess around with loads of sound settings etc to get sound and also is a pain to have to have the computer on for sound to work.

If you speakers have more than one input, then you can connect the 2x phono connections of the VGA cable to them there. Else you will have to either do a bit of cable fiddling/switching between the PC and 360.

You shouldn't get black bars in any of the widescreen resolutions the 360 can do I don't think.

No black bars as the 360 is designed for widescreen HDTV. You might get tiny ones horizontally if you run it on a 16:10 panel.
