360 vibrating a lot

When discs are spinning in the drive it creates a lot of wobble, if the unit is stood up it makes a fair bit of low frequency noise because of this, if it's laid down it's not so bad but it's still vibrating, worried it may get worse or may cause problems with other parts of the 360, anyone else had this kind of problem?

Yup, its just because the dvd drive is mounted straight into metal with solid plastic posts, so no anti-vibration properties at all.

The hitachi (i think) branded DVD drives in 360's are particuarly bad.

yeah my 360 does this every single time i put a disk in, the disk drives as said above have absolutely no dampening properties, quite shocking really the only way i got rid of it was to install to hard disk, still louder than my PS3 but tolerable

Mine USED to, but it just doesn't anymore.. which is good
