360 Wired Controller!

Hi guys.

I recently bought a wired controller and a key for Shadow of Mordor. I would have originally bought it on PS4, but then I remembered my PC is pretty high spec, and with Steams sale and the cost of a new wired 360 controller, it actually works out cheaper!

Anywho, drivers installed, happy as you like, green light on, controller can be calibrated and responds.

Then I launch SoM and after a few minutes it keeps disconnecting, just makes the USB noise, then continues to work immediately after?

Keeps pausing the game every 2 seconds!

Please help!

I am on Windows 8.1 by the way! 64-bit

Thank you!

don't have the game but can't report this problem with any game I have used the controller on.

I have a USB stick that connects and disconnects quite often which sounds like a similar issue (its a back up I rarely use).
Try a different USB slot or try the controller on a different PC

I've not experienced this issue before.

Have used wired and wireless (with dongle) 360 pads.

Was the pad new? If so get it sent back, or try a different USB port first I suppose

I have had this before, was a dodgy usb port, turned out when pressing certain buttons the keypad would stop for a second, flash and then start working again. Try a different usb port on the computer

uninstall driver, reboot then just plug controller in and let it sort itself out.

recently completed this game on a wired controller (and a fair few others) and the only time i can recall having this issue was on my very first install of the controller where I downloaded and pre-installed the driver.
