360 wired headset

just a quick question. when i have been online using the headset i find it very difficult to hear what people are saying over the sound of the game when the voice is coming through the headset only...and I mean very difficult!
Am I doing something wrong?

Have you turned the volume up via the personal settings options when you press the Guide button on the dashboard?

Also make sure its up fully on the headset itself
