360 wireless controller

It is Powered by the Xbox 360 No Batteries, no cables. It would be pretty pointless having a wireless connection if all you had to do to avoid it was spend £5 on a lead that would do the same but be wired. And save you £54-£55 pounds depending on where you purchase it.

Wired networks have been with us since the 1960's and in some ways earlier. It's only been in the last 7 years that wireless has become available. But All you will have to worry about is setting it up with is a router for Media center and Internet (XboxLive) access.

this controller is used with a pc. not xbox360

yea i got that crossfire thingy.

i just need to know if i need a charger to charge the battery.

Yes you will need to charge it or replace the AA batteries.

There is a play and charge kit for the 360 dunno if it works with the crossfire tho. This gives you a Li-On battery that can be charged via USB while using the controller and then just unplug the lead and your wireless again.

It comes with 2 AA's. So, either buy them, or get the play and charge kit. That gives you a rechargable battery pack and a USB charge cable which is used for power only, not for data.

Or you could just buy a normal AA battery recharger and some rechargable batteries, I bet it's cheaper than the xbox branded thing.

You can use a play and charge kit. Just plug it into a usb port on your pc, then into the controller.

You can not use the play/charge kit to turn your wireless controller into a wired one though. All the cable does is provide power. Stupid, but there you go.

The play/charge kit just comes up as an unknown device in xp.

Richie.

AA batteries last a while in these pads i used mine for over a week and a half a fair bit and ive only had to change them once. i also got a good deal on some AA batteries from a high street electrical shop 8 duracells for 2.99 so i should b fine for a while.
