360 Wireless headset crackling.

Hey, I've just got a wireless headset and when I record a voice message on my 360 and play it back there's a slight background crackling sound. Is this normal or have I got a faulty unit? Cheers.

Mine in #002057 so this is the problem. Bet I won't get a newer one from the store I bought it from.

mine did it for a while, i had to keep turning it on and off in middle of games seems to have sorted it self out now and dont have any probs with it

I'm just going to get a refund. The 360's wireless controllers manage it fine so I'll just get a wired replacement.

your message you sent to me sounded ok was crackly in places but not whole way though... like i said mine used to do it i always blamed the weather (i blame the weather for everything)

Funny you say that, it's better now. Does yours have a slight background noise when talking? My wired one doesn't but the wireless one appears to have a faint background hiss/hum. Very quiet though.
