Hello,

I have received and installed my new Mobo and 3600 today. I'll admit when i installed, i had some issues with the cooler, backplate fell down, didnt have enough hands to grab the plate and screwdriver.

Didn't realise how much paste would be on the cooler. Have to pull it off and start again.

My idol temps are around 50- 60c - when playing battlefield earlier, these got up to around 85 - 90c and when running cinebench, they got to 92c.

I've come from Intel, but i assume these temps are too high. Just want to check before i got and rip it apart tomorrow and re apply only to find the same temps....

I'm using the Wraith Stealth cooler that came with it. No overclock, BIOS set to defaults.

Can someone confirm what temps i should be getting?

Thanks,

Interesting you post this.
I installed my 3600 last week and it was a right pain trying to keep the backplate still so I had to selotape it to my case whilst installing the heatsink and then remove it after it was screwed in.

Idle I get 36c - 40c
Gaming about 60c to 65c

The only complaint I have about it, in high performance mode it makes a slight whining sound, but in power saver its silent

:) nice to see someone else had a similar issue. Ok so yours is running much lower than mine, think i will remove and re-apply.

Out of interest have you made any changes like overclocking etc ?. I dont think i should be enabling or changing anything else. Just my Cinebench score seems to come out lower than others i have seen online.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Overclocked the RAM from 2400mhz to 3000mhz and the CPU from 3.6ghz to 3.9ghz
Idle is the same, however gaming has increased to about 65c
