360hz IPS = $1099

Some people have the money and the enthusiast will want to be early adopters.

It's the early adopters that eventually bring the price down for everybody, it happens in all products.

So I get going from 60Hz to even 144Hz but what exactly is the point of a 360Hz monitor?
Surely the difference is imperceptible?
Excuse my ignorance here.

Sample and hold LCD tech is so poor, You need outrageous hertz to equal a CRT or OLED in blur and input lag. Until displays reach practically zero on each were gonna keep going up in hz until 480hz and 1000hz.

The difference would be smoothness, Smoother motion, Less blur and less input lag. There is a side by side Youtube video and you can see thier DOTA 2 demo has a slight noticable advantage over 240hz in panning.

Good to know. I watched a video and while I kind of get it I can barely see any difference myself. This could be because my monitor is only 144Hz or that the YT video is limited.
