I think we seem to be about to buy the Toshiba after reading very good things about it, theres a huge thread on it over at AVforums. Prices seem quite low to with the release of the wlt68 series

There been many posts about not being able to get 1:1 pixel mapping on some of the toshiba LCDS...If your thinking of using one with your PC then you need to check if 1:1 pixel mapping is fully supported..

Dead Dog - what's your view on that TV - thinking of getting one but getting mixed reviews (mainly from people who don't own one!).

I'm a little concerned with the contrast ratio (I understand its 3500.1) - does this cause a problem with darker scenes?

Cheers :)

i've found the telly awesome, certainly does darks/black scenes well enough for me.
only points i've found so far
1 remote is a bit hit and miss, i am using batteries from pack so maybe a new set would sort?
2 reminders, we were trying this out, Sam programmed in a reminder as a trial, it reminds you, and switches over (good), but the damn telly insists on you watching the whole program before it'll let you turn over - so if we use it from now we only program the first minute or so :p

put apart from that a top telly - i can certainly live with its little flaws - certainly one of the best 37s you can get if not the best !!
