I'm looking for a 37" wall mountable Television. HD ready of course, And i'd like to see some fantastic quality when it comes to me hooking up the Xbox 360 and PS3.

I've been told some cheaper TVs don't display true black, So i'm kinda worried when it comes to my spending.

I'm unsure of a budget, I don't even have the cash to buy one at the moment, My budget can be anything, just means i'll have to hold off buying the TV an extra few weeks to get the more expensive models.

I was thinking of spending around £700-£800

I don't know whether I should go LCD or Plasma either.

I'm very TV Illiterate if i'm honest. Fantastic at sitting and watching them!! Not too good when it comes to the spec's.

Cheers

All LCD's won't reproduce true black, unlike CRT. As for HD, you can buy 1920x1080P 37" Sharp, but they do have quite a few problems (I had the 42" which I sent back)

Backlight hum
Ghosting
Lost sharpness setting when changing inputs
Second set had uneven backlight and produced a high pitch whine during high contrast scenes.

From the looks of it most sets have problems, ie Panasonic Plasma "purple snakes" to LCD uneven backlight bleed, ghosting, humming, etc etc.
