Running at stock or overclocked?

Either way probably not, unless going to dual core is going to benefit you in some way.

Is this the 3700+ skt 754 claw? If so mine happily goes to 2.75ghhz on air and i have seen them up to 3.2 on water on another site. As to if it's worth upgrading to, it depends on what you have at the moment.
 
Should be happy to do 2.7ghz on air, mine does 2.85ghz on water. Would probably do more if I took the IHS off.

As far as upgrading goes, you're better off if you upgraded to a 754 PCI-E motherboard and upgrade your graphics card.
 
do i need to up the cpu voltage to run at 2.75 on air.
my gfx is:his excalibur x800xt pe.
1 gig ocz pc3700 ram.
dfi 250gig mob.
