Overclocking these days can be a bit Daunting to a newbie as there are a lot of settings to worry about. There is a FAQ but it's centered on older chipsets with slightly easier options.

FSB = Front side Bus - this is your primary overclocking option and is sometimes known as HTT. Starts at 200Mhz.

Divider - this multiplied by the FSB gives the speed of the CPU.

Hypertransport - this starts at times 5 and should be dropped to x4 to keep it below 1000 ( It is possible to overclock this but not advised for a noob ) .

Memory speed, with you using Geil ( which is good ) best not to push that beyond 220 FSB... so once you hit that slow the memory speed down ( choose DDR333 not DDR400 ).

To overclock start by slowly increasing FSB.... Testing using something that pushes the CPU, such as prime or F@H.

initially a quick 10 minute test will be fine, initially increase in 10Mhz steps. When it becomes unstable drop it slightly until it seems stable then give is a long time ( 24 hour test ) if it passes then you have stability at stock voltage.

From that you can do things like upping the voltage but best to get it stable on stock first. Then come back and ask for help.
