3700 san diego overclocking

what kind of clock speeds have people been getting with these chips I am currently up to 2.8GHz 270*10.5 @1.45v with mine running prime at the moment seems stable so far. I dont know if im going to reach it's maximum as my mobo(Asus a8n-sli deluxe) doesn't seem to like going over 270

i can only get to 1.55vcore on mine to but i'm only at 1.45v atm prime95 has been running for about 3hrs now

needmorespeed why don't you just stick the multi up to 11 and lower the HTT?

I'm going to up the multi been running prime now for about 10hrs now seems stable enough to me

just changed it to 11 x 270 = 2.97GHz still at 1.45v just started prime running again temp is up to 43c

air cooled using a xp-120 and a YS-tech 120mm fan

had to up the voltage to 1.48v as it failed prime lokking good so far

Whats the stock volts on a 3700+ and how high can i increase the volts to remain safe... Also increasing the volts will also increase the temps, so again, whats a safe temp to run the 3700+ at... Sorry for all the questions... Hehe...

stock voltage is 1.4v i think i go only go up to 1.55 should be ok aslong as you can keep it cool enough.

i would say around 60c is a good maximum

I'm now running at 3Ghz 273*11 @ 1.5v thats about as high as my mobo will let me go

prime stable for 24hrs it was still going i just wanted to play doom3 which runs very smoothly i got a pcmark05 score of 4090 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?pcm05=202602 seems alittle low so i gonna try tweaking the settings alittle haven't done anything else yet

what stepping is that needmore?

i don't know what stepping it is a let you know when i take it out to see how far i can push this opteron i recieved this morning

I got my asus upto 320 FSB my 3700+ san diego refuses to go over 3ghz stably and my opteron hits awall at 2.8ghz but i'm happy with that

hi guys, im new here and i have a 3700/ mobo Lanparty SLI-DR/ 2gb Crucial Ballistix Tracer pc4000/ air cooled with Gigabyte 3D...
I tryed to make a over but the system rebooted...i tryed 10.5X240, but i leave other things on AUTO...Its to many things to setting!!!
What i have to leave on AUTO on DRAM and CPU, and what i have to change for this configuration? Since i read this post, i was happy because its about 3700...
sorry, but im newbie in over and i dont want explode my computer

you will need to set the Hyper transport (HT) multiplyer to 4 and you may need to put the ram on a divider also what voltage are your using

Going to start overclocking mine over the weekend, got:
3700 - CABGE 0521VPAW
DFI - SLI-D
1gb stick of Corsair XMS-3200
With a scythe ninja with an amber keeping it cool

What should i aim for? Any tips

most of them are getting to 2.6ghz thats FX55 speeds

Hi guys,

I'm running my 3700 @ 2.57 257x10 @ 1.475v. Temps are good, idle at 33 load at 45-47 max.

All i have done is tweaked the above settings. What do i else do i need to tweak as i can't get it prime stable above this. My RAM sucks at the moment (cheap samsung pc3200 stuff) so i reckon thats holding me back!

I'm using an Asus A8n Premium SLi.

use a divider on the ram and drop the HT multi to 3x
