3700+sd steppings

is there anyway of finding out what steppings the AMD Athlon 64 3700+ (retail) is? I mean the one forsale here on ocuk.

It's a gamble, OCUK won't tell you, others might.

If i wasnt happy with the steppings could i send it back? Although i dont really mined aslong as i come close to 2.6

As long as you don't open it, you're within your rights to send it back.

I think any stepping will give you close to 2.6 tbh. Anywhere between 2.5 and 3.

sorry for a newb question, but do the steppings change monthly? Or when ever ocuk get them delivered? becuase i think the last batch where great overclockers. The problem is i want to buy one this thursday, just praying i dont get a rubbish overclocker

You could order one and then google the stepping before opening the box. That would give you a better idea of what you could expect for opening and committing.
