hi, I was wondering if the 3700+ San Diego was compatible with the nForce3 250 chipset or more specifically the epox 9NDA3i. On the spec for the board it says Compatible Processors: Athlon 64, Athlon 64 FX, Athlon 64 X2 but i've read when the chipset was made the processors were 130nm and not 90nm so I'm wondering if the newer versions will work.

thanks for any replies

I would have thought so, as long as you have flashed the bios to the latest one. But then again it should work anyway - the flashing would be for the x2. Best thing is to check you bios version against the manufacturers website.

But I'm pretty sure it would work.

thanks for the reply, I've already ordered the mobo and just have to wait till next week when Ive got enough money to buy the CPU and heatsink. If it doesn't work I guess I'll have to sell the CPU and buy an older core. (reason im not going for an nforce4 is that I need an AGP Slot as I dont game and only the nforce3 supports AGP from what I can find out.

thanks again
