3700X to 5800X3D, will the Noctua D14 suffice?

So I'm thinking of getting a 5800X3D to replace my 3700X, although I'm not 100% sure if it's going to be a decent upgrade.

Anyway, my 3700X is being cooled by a Noctua D14 which I've had since the 4770K days, do you think it's going to be enough for the 5800X3D or is it too old?

I have a 5800x with a Noctua D14 which I have moved from an older system and it copes perfectly and you don't have the concerns of having a water leak or pump packing up

Yep will be fine. :)

The only time my D14 struggles was asking it to cool a 7980XE overclocked to 4.6Ghz all core.... Yeah, that didn't work very well..

Uhm what's pbo2/CO?

Mobo is an MSI Tomahawk Max B450.
Curve optimizer in bios, allows under-volt across all frequencies and massively reduces temps on this cpu and max out all cores to 4450mhz on all core load.

Latest Bios for that board is 1.2.0.8 so will support CO for 5800X3D, even the older ones on MSI boards will do it because they knocked out thier own version called Kombo Strike before all the others caught up. Easy way for you is to use Kombo strike level 3 in bios or manually do advanced PBO and CO -30 all cores. If i didnt have access to either of these I wouldn't bother as temps are rough running this cpu at stock and will downclock at full load without CO.
