Had my current system now for coming up to 4 years and all still running ok on Windows 10.

I don't know if to drop a Ryzen 7 5800X3D into the Gigabyte X570 Elite mobo and continue on Win 10 or to build a new system around a Ryzen 7 7800X3D at a cost of £2400 ish and go for Win 11.

My system spec is:

Ryzen 3700X
Gigabyte X570 Elite AM4
16Gb Crucial ram
Founders 3070ti
Fractal design meshify case
850Watt psu platinum

Win11 should still work on that system? I've got a 3600 and the same mobo and i'm running W11 fine.

What do you do with the PC (is it just gaming)?

What resolution do you play at?

This video compares the CPUs at 1080p, 1440p & 4K (with a 4090):

I'm gaming at 1440p, used to have an ultra-wide monitor but I downgraded to a Dell 27" gaming screen and quite happy with it.

I think 3700x to 5800X3D would give a 20% improvement according to some benchmarks.

Or maybe I should go 3070ti to 4070ti ?

I would get the 5800X3D and a 7900 XT (£730, here).
