3700x XMP not stable

!.1 should really be more than enough, im running less for 1900mhz FCLK, sounds like you got a bad picked chip, if dropping the FCLK to 1700mhz and you sound card is all good again, just shows it was the FCLK causing the problems.
Wonder if I got a really poor memory controller and that is why my RAM overclocks with 3400mhz CL16 manage to fail even with 1.45v :D

Considering trying 1.2v SOC and seeing if that helps the overclocking of the RAM if it continues to struggle, at least today I know roughly how far the FCLK can go.

Just thought I'd try 1800mhz again, figured out why the sound card was acting up, I like to use 3rd party UNI drivers with it and Microsoft kept installing Asus drivers automatically causing a conflict, running 1800mhz and it's fine! If I can get the RAM working correctly I'll be very happy with this setup, 3700x for £320 is incredible performance for the money, lets hope AMD can keep this up for at least another decade. (AMD please use some profits on the GPU department, that way competitive in both arenas).

I have the same motherboard and 32GB of the same Viper ram. I had the same problem with the xmp profile and the pc crashing, in the end I used the xmp profile to setup the memory in the bios and then manually changed voltage and disabled xmp profile and saved bios settings.

I'm also using the latest bios, I think it's F5
