So I just got my 3770k in.

The top of the CPU looks like this:

SR0PL 3.5GHZ
COSTA RICA
3228A999 (e4)

The 'A' in the last number is the stepping and mine means "less voltage more heat" (I think).

Can you tell me what Overclocks I can expect from it (or is that too much to ask)?

Thanks :)

You will need a Water cooling solution like a H100i or H110 to keep it from throttling when Overclocking but I am sure a good air cooler will do the job. I am guessing you will get about 4.3-4Ghz. hahahah, my i7 is from Costa Rica but it is a B stepping.

The 38 means Costa the 28 means week 28 of production. Costa tend to offer higher overclocking mhz but not as good IMC in general. For sure some are exceptions to this rule. 4.5 should be fine with DDR2400 with this chip easy.
