Does hyperthreading need to be dissabled when playing said game, heard it can cause stuttering??

not sure but ht isnt needed for BF3 so shouldnt make any difference

bf3 doesnt use ht, i had an i7 920 with ht enabled, never caused an issue in the game.

The old hyperthreading issues were down to more than just HT being enabled. As some people got the issue with it enabled and others didnt, a lot of people put it down to motherboard\CPU combos(which made sense).

No battlefield 3 plays great I also have a I920 CPU 6gb 7970 gpu HT on no problem with playing.

BF3 uses 6 threads and the HT enabled gives me no problems.

There are dozens of threads on the internet which say it can cause stutter in bf3 on certain configurations. If you don't have stutter leave it on, if it does just try it with ht turned off and see if it helps.... Easy right?

It was to do with config files and some older patch's. It was sorted ages ago

I've managed to OC my 3770k to 4.5ghz,

Idles at about 35 degrees.

What is deemed as a safe temperature because when I'm playing BF3. It can go higher than 70 - 75 degrees.
