Has anyone done the above upgrade path?

Saw a video lately that showed some nice improvements in certain games where the difference at times was 10-15fps which is a nice jump, especially for minimums.

I know it's not a very cost effective upgrade but I have the itch.

Edit: Posted this in wrong forum, could it be move to the CPU section please :)
