3800 single core

hi im trying to overclock my dads 3800 939 single core cpu

spec is
2gb pny ram 2x1gb
a8r-mvp deluxe board
6600gt gfx
hiper 600 odd watt psu
akasa evo 120 cooler

i can get it to 2.5ghz from the 2.4 it comes out the box but can only acheive this by setting an overclock profile of 5%
ive tryed increasing fsb to 2.6 and above but it either wont boot and if it does after 1 min in o/s it reboots

any ideas temps in bios are 43 cpu and mobo 25

im a noob to overclocking but i got my system from 3.0ghz to 3.5 so i must have done something right

Either cpu needs more volts or ram or u need a divider on ram. Make sure u lower the HTT thing from 1000 to 800 or 5x to 4x depending on how ** mb configures it.

It's in the memory configuration menu, change the Memory CLK value from 200 to 166.
