3800+ X2 Issue

Hi all,
So I bought this motheboard MSI K8N NEO.4-FI, and I got the 3800 X2. I fitted a Zalman 7700 with its Fan Mate controller.

It worked without any problems at first. However yesterday I switched it on and after 3 seconds my PC switched off automatically. I tried another time and it switched off after 7 seconds. Then, I increased the fan RPM for the CPU and it worked without problems.

It went into Windows and I opened the MSI utility that can be used to monitor the CPU temp. When I lower the CPU fan to silent mode this MSI utility starts the alarm. HOwever when I increase the temp it starts to sound the alarm.

The CPU temp is 33C showing in the MSI utility while if I use the AMD dashboard it shows 28C so I do not think that the CPU is overheating.

I do not know whether there is someone who had this issue. What I am thinking is that in the BIOS there is a settings that shuts down the PC automatically when the fan speed is at a minimum.

Thanks

In MSI utility there is a warning level. BUt when it was shutting down it was not even loading Windows so basically it cannot be that this utility is shutting down the PC.

The strange thing is that in the MSI core cell the CPU fan is showing as 0 while the system fan is shown ok. When I turn it to silent the MSI utility will start the alarm.

Thanks
