After reading Gibbos post yesterday I have noticed that there is now a 3800 X2 OEM chip for £193 on OcUK.

Whats the best cooler on the market for this for around £20? Has to be near silent and better cooling than standard HSF. Maybe the Arctic Freezer?

Roll on payday!

Hi there

Told you that I'd get a good price on them. :)

Yes, its nice to be able to get a good cooler over the stock one for the same price (ish) as the retail.

If I remember correctly the OEM's are only 1 year warranty?

Is the AMD64 retail cooler on the 3000+ the same as the 3800+ x2? I'm thinking of ordering the OEM version as I already have that one and I'm not sure if cooling requirements will be different.

Hoping so, as my current setup doesnt clock well really. Would like something free for a change!

What RAM have you got.

I don't know what stepping I got, since I didn't write it down before I mounted the cooler. I bought it about 3 weeks ago or so. I have ocz 2x1gb pc3200 platinum edition(2-3-2-5). But my 24/7 clock is [email protected], so I have to use divider so it runs at 221mhz.

Yeah I looked at that a while ago, thats why I will get one, no point trying to find a 165 these days, not worth the premium, also only a 9x multi.
