Ok have a brand new rig with the following spec.

AMD 3800 X2
DFI LanParty NF4 SLI-DR EXPERT
OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC4000 Dual Channel Gold GX XTC Series EL-DDR CAS3
XClio GREATPOWER X14S4P4 700W
Nvidia GeForce 6200 TurboCache
Freezer 64 Pro

Simply put I can only get into windows with the CPU multiplier at 4x (i.e. 800mhz). The rest of the motherboard is all at default settings.
The CPU voltage is automatically set at 1.3v.

At all CPU multipliers above 4 it starts loading windows then crashes.

Why-oh-why will it not work completely default - 10x/Auto CPU multiplier as well?

Help

Have thought about that as I thought 1.3v seemed a little low.

On further inspection it seems to be defaulting to 1.350 as when set to that maually the BIOS reports exactly the same voltage being applied to the CPU as when set to auto.

I did try 1.4 volts and 5x multiplier, same problem.

Anywho time for bed now any other ideas would be geatly appreciated :)

I'm actually very impressed with the PSU.

EPS server standard quad 12v rails :)
And the 14cm fan is silent.

It was unplugged last night and his morning it's booted beautifully into windows with completely default settings.
It would appear that overnight the system has sorted itself out

Oh well I'm happy :D

Now to get that clock speed up a bit ;)

Edit: Oh and I did try another PSU - My Hiper 580 Type-R (another lovely silent PSU)
