If you go into the BIOS you should be able to set the CPU fan profile to quiet or silent mode, which should make a significant difference to the noise. Alternatively and if you have one, you can connect the stock fan to a fan controller and have it run at a constant speed which is as loud as you can tolerate.Hi i have installed the new 3800x with the prisim cooler that came with it which works ok but its a bit noisey !

I was looking for the white version some time ago. Looks very nice, either colour.I use a Deep Cool Gamer Storm Captain 240 pro, AIO liquid thing. I bought it mostly because it was quiet and effective, but also because of the pretty lights!

And yes, it's both a lot quieter and a lot better at controlling the temps than the stock cooler.
