Hey guys,

im gonna try upgrading my GPU to see if it helps my FPS, as my lower frames in CS : GO are noticeable and affecting my performance a little bit.

Is the RX 480 worth the upgrade, im not really into OCing so the headroom for that isnt a biggie for me, and i was thinking i can go crossfire down the line with them also?

any input appreciated guys!

change of ideas guys,

my budget allows for around £200, so if someone can give me a guide on best for close to price vs. performance against my 380x. that would be superb!

a 380x is more than enough for cs go or any pro cs player if your losing its down to bad skill lol. Or have you got a 144hz monitor? if you dont buy that with freesync not a new gpu a 380x is more than enough... a 280x is more than enough thats what i used to have.

Your frame rate is not dropping below 60fps no way so you cant even see dipping on the other hand stuttering you would see but that would be a faulty card. And yes that monitor is miles better man 144hz is such an advantage on cs go and with freesync it will be so smooth even more of an advantage. Unless you have problems with your hardware your pc is way powerful enough for cs go... Make sure your system is cooled properly and you can rule out thermal throttling but i would go with a better monitor it will play so much better. And if you got some basic mouse thats another you should look at to have fun with cs go. You are probably seeing screen tearing which could be what you think is dipping.

thanks for the input mate, appreciated, i think im gonna pull the trigger on one at 144hz and 1ms response time. if that will help my issues as i thought too my card is powerful enough for these games, the system performs well on heaven and that ****.
