Hi,
just a quick one really.

I'm going to buy another monitor (23") to match my one I have got now so I will be gaming a 3840x1080 res on my gtx 580.
My question is will my 580 cope with that res?. My temp won't be a problem as I have under water now.
The game I mostly play is black ops, I think it can support it at that res?.

Thanks

Sgt T.

Aiming would be a challenge on two monitors, given the crosshair is central - right where the bezels are (if you've got bezel correction on. If it's off, it won't be much better anyway).

i think what you have said there i won't be getting it now :(.
Never really thought about before tbh, thank you very much :)..

Can you span games over 2 monitors with Nvidia?

I didn't think you could.

Not sure on this - when I first tried it with a beta driver you could - but with proper release drivers I'm pretty sure you can't - has to be 3 - but I've not actually tried it with any recent release drivers. You need 2 GPUs anyhow to even enabled nVidia surround functionality for gaming.

Are you saying I need another 580 to set up 3monitors?

i mainly play fps games and to be honest 3 monitor gaming actually puts me off.

the only games where it did enhance the experience were driving games

Agreed, though other sims benefit too. For fast paced FPS games, I found them distracting, though at the time, my 'fast paced FPS' was BlOps, and that didn't really support 3 monitors that well. Dirt 2 was immense though! Overall though, I DSR'd the two extra monitors, as it wasn't worth the money/FPS drop. Might get two 2007FPs to join my 3007WFP though...
