Basically my friend ordered a 3850 agp and corsair vx450w for his ageing system. Upon powering it on it starts but the monitor displays 'no signal'. Not sure what is causing the problem. He has tried reseating, resetting to default in bios (switched back to 9800 to do this) but no go! Any ideas?

Motherboard incompatibility? Not sure how compatible with all older mobos it is...
Have you tried googling the subject? Google is your best friend really in this cases, these forums are best for new mass sold stuff sadly.
