now that my exams are over, i can get a new gfx card
The ati hd3850 pro 512mb looks quite good value, but i was wondering whether or not my psu will be powerful enough for it

psu 460 watts 12V--15A (generic)
e6600 stock
2gig ram
hdd

if it isnt, what would be the next best recomendation. I am a casual gamer and arent too fussed with full AA and AF, just as long as i can get away with medium on cod4, gears of war etc.

With 15A your system components will some night dine in hell. The PSU pointed by Monkeynut will do fine if you are under a tight budget. If you have more cash is better to futureproof with a better PSU but if you don't plan on upgrading soon then go for that one.

I also agree, it's bad enough when good quality PSUs blow, never mind when it's a generic one, I'll never ever ever ever ever (you get the point :p) use a generic PSU as i've had too many PSUs blow on me :D
