3870 & 3870x2 Crossfire

Currently have an ATI Sapphire 3870 Toxic and would really like to get something newer! However, money is tight so would getting a 3870x2 and Crossfiring it with my normal 3870 be more beneficial than getting another 3870?

I run 2 monitors, a 22" and a 17". If I was to Crossfire a 3870x2 and the 3870 then I'd run the 22" off the 3870x2 and the 17" of the 3870

i do not think you can crossfire and run 2 monitors off of 2 gfx cards (i may be incorrect btw)

Sell the toxic and add to the funds to get a better single card.

a 5770 card is about £100 now so get saving...or get washing cars/windows for cash

Problem is, am a student, thus making funds tight! Need to buy a laptop as well so looks like plans have been put on hold.

I've seen 3870s go for £20 on eBay and that surely makes it worth doing??
