Hey guys,

I recently bought the 3870 from overclockers, just wondering. Is it worth me getting another 3870 for crossfire or waiting until the rumoured 2xGPU cards come out early next year and try with two of those?

I have an ASUS P5KC mobo, read it was good in Custom PC as well as 4GB of Ballistix. Looking for a further increase in Crysis performance.

Let me know your thoughts :)

I don't get great Crysis performance with two in crossfire, its not bad, but it wasn't what I expected. I'll definately try the x2's when they hit.

I don't even know what frames I'm getting, but I'm having to run it at 1360 x 768 windowed to have everything on maximum VERY HIGH and still be playable. That's without any AA.

Maybe with a pair of 3870x2? 4x the horse power hopefully, although it doesn't work like that does it?

No, crysis at present doesn't use crossfire properly at all. I'm hoping either driver or game updates will resolve this (along with crysis being utterly crud at using multi-core CPU's)

I thought it was driver updates that were lacking on the graphics front rather than support from Crytek. I haven't tried the 7.11 drivers yet... Any expected release from Crytek for Crysis yet? A patch is in the works if I remember correctly.
