I am able to connect 2 monitos using an HDMI connection on both with the 4870?

I read somewhere You can only have 1 HDMI connection and the other has to be DVI or D-SUB.
 
I've had 2 HDMIs connected to the same card at once outputting to two separate monitors. It works fine.
