catalyst control centre is only picking up one of my 3870's but device manager in vista is picking them both up

any help on this so i can enable crossfire

device manager may not be picking them both up, your card has 3 different outputs, its possible for 1 card to show up 3 times within device manager, mine shows up twice and i only have 1 card, i would reccomend you upgrade to the latest bios, make sure the cards are connected properly to the motherboard, the motherboard may require additional power through a molex for running two cards, i would check your crossfire bridges, and your power cables to both cards, i would then check your bios options to see if the 2nd pci-e slot has been disabled or not, and any othr options within the bios

seems using gpu-z both cards are picked up

only ones running at the fll 16x bandwith others running at 4x, could this be a problem ?

how do i check if crossfire is initiated ? ive enabled it in the control centre but gpu-z tells me crossfire is disabled

When I used crossfire, I don't recall CCC picking up 2 GPU's, it just allowed for the option of "Crossfire" to be enabled. GPU-Z reported crossfire enabled, and showed 2 GPUs connected though.
