3870 x2 crossfire partner?

just got my 3870 x2 and its running crysis just on full settings so was planning to go fully over the top and add a second card but dont know what would be best another x2? or something else also is there any point?

You wont have drivers to run until March sometime. Would need to see some results with 2 X2's in one system

You can but unless you get hold of the beta 3780x2 driver you wont see any benefit i doubt, plus waiting untill the driver is ready will give more time for the price of the card to come down

That's what I'm going for, I reckon if AMD/ATi nock 20£ of the price they will hit the mark and pull some ground back from nvidia.. Although it is rather well priced as it is considering the performance im getting out of just one.

Two 3870X2 cards will use a lot of power though, I imagine a 700W+ PSU will be needed.
