3870x2 - Any point in changing?

Hey all,

I currently have the ATI 3870x2 - I've not been keeping up with the latest graphics card news on the latest cards so I'm not too sure whats out there, what the performance is like etc. etc.

However - is there currently much point in upgrading my 3870x2 further for now? Or is the performance jump in the latest cards that great?

i would say it depends if you are limited by your card now?

Depends if you get a good price for your current cards .

You don't really need to upgrade yet, personally I would wait for the 4870 1gb version and see how it looks from there.

Then it could be to late,

I would shift the old tech as soon as you can.

The pricing of GFX cards is daft these days.

Just look at the price drop of the GTX 280 and 260 within days of release.

If you bought one on release day your 2 day old tech had alread diminished in value by 120! big ones
