Hi Guys,

I have 2 powercolor 3870x2's i would like to flash the bios on them.

Now having never flashed the bios on an ATI card before or other graphics cards for that matter lol.

Does anyone have a guide for doing it?

Also whats the best bios to use? Is there a resource to get the latest bios from?

Its a bit more of a minefield compaired to mobo bioses lol.

Cheers for any help.

Q1) Why are you flashing? the speedstep bug was fixed in the recent set of drivers.

If you do want to flash, then you need to use GPU-Z to get your cards BIOS.

Then read this:

http://www.overclock.net/ati-driver...293880-38xx-3850-3870-3870x2-bios-editor.html

Also if you search for the old 3870X2 official thread you'll find a load of people discussing how to flash the X2, it is dead easy, just take your time and it'll work fine.

Just remember NOT to reboot until you have flashed both GPU cores.

I have 2 cards, 1 has what appears to be a lot newer bios on it. So i would like to get them both running the same bios.

Or if i can find an even newer powercolor 3870x2 bios even better.

Cheers
