This is holding up my new Q9450 build. My Zalman 600w PS does not have a 8 pin connector. The 6 pin is ok. I have another 6 pin marked PCI2. I have a feeling that this can be used in place of the 8 pin but would like confirmation before going ahead.

If it is ok which pins are uncovered.

Yes, 2x6-pin works...you just lose the ability to overclock. The pins are shaped and idiot-proofed; you can't go wrong.
