hey guys bought a few things in the past from overlockers but only recently signed up with the forum to see if u guys have any ideas to a problem im having with my 3870X2.
ok now fresh install of vista first of all, when i play games after an undetermined amount of time my pc screen goes off and the red led closest to the front of the case on the 3870x2 lights up. this also happens in windows for no reason the screen will go black and the light will light up. now the PC hasn't crashed as i can still hear the music in the background playing fine (not looping) and if i press the power button it shuts down normally. so ive been thinking thats its either the gfx card or the psu, now the psu is on the crossfirex certified tab for two 3870x2's so 1 shouldn't be a problem. ive had a look in the bios and the rails seem to be at normal levels, no strange voltages. i dont beleive its the psu as its running fine and was with two 3870's in crossfire and is only about 4 months old. its the hiper type r mk2 770w.
i really believe its the gfx card but im not 100%, wondering if any of you guys can steer me in the right direction. also if needed the card is asus and was bought from overclockers maybe 2 months ago, is the warranty handled directly through asus or is it covered by overclockers.
