I have the above graphics card and have been having problems playing my game (Farming Simulator 2009 and please no smart remarks), the computer then freezes and after a few seconds it shuts down and reboots back to normal.

I then ran FURMARK and the temps got to around 86 on both GPU's, then out of the blue the screen turned off and wouldnt come back on I, I had to reboot the system to get the screen to come on again.

Ive been told the card may be dying but wanted to get you opinion.

Tripple 12V rails provide independant reliable power to the cpu, video card and other components with a combined rating of 50A maximum!
that what it says in the manual

ive got two 120mm fan, one came with the case and there was space for another one at the front

i also have one 80mm fan on the side cover blowin air in towards the processor
so 3 fans with one more on its way, theres space beneath the cd rom drive that i want to utilise so am gunna put another one in there as ive no plans to add any more cd roms etc

That does seem a tad high for idle temps but not too far off considering its a dual GPU card. Considering it is evening time now (you may have the heating on etc) temps are generally higher, but how is your general airflow through out your case (how many fans do you have?)

thats the temperatures i get early in the morning to they are always around that no matter what time of day

its running on dual core standard no overclocking at all, i only play one game atm so i dunno if it happens in anything else. but its fine when im on the net or messing bout on windows, once i play the game for a while its fine then out of the blue it freezes and the computer reboots

True 86c shouldn't make it shut down, at that sort of temps you could expect artifacts in some areas, especially if its overclocked.

Sounds like you've got plenty of air running through your system, as mentioned above, its defo some sort of stability issue, possibly through software (out of date drivers etc) or a piece of hardware thats on its way out

i make sure all my drivers are updated every week so i dont think its that, the only thing that isnt brand new is the graphics card as i bought it off my brother but everyhting else is brand spanking new as the systems onli a few weeks old
