It would only cost me 15-20 quid to do it as my mate was going to order the same 390 that i have just purchased and is willing to just take that so he does not have to wait on it arriving. Would this be worth it? Less vram?:p

£20 is a no brainer xD

Looking at either second hand 290 or second hand nano/fury myself just to tide me over till the "high end" hbm2 cards are released. On average it's more like a £100 difference and even more for fury x.

Is it still worth it then? That's what I am wondering..

Id keep the 390 myself, as were already seeing games recommending the 390s over the Furys because they don't have enough vram.

EDIT: but saying that, if you're going to upgrade to a new card when they land, a Fury will last till then, and its only £20, so may as well do it, and save your mate from waiting for a one :p
