3900x and Gigabyte Auros Master x570 Sleep issues

Hey all,

I've built a nice 3900x / GB x570 Auros / 64gb G.Skill trident Z Neo system which flies.

I've had a few issues which I've ironed out but the one I can't solve is the PC recovering from Sleep mode successfully.

The symptom I'm seeing is that the PC will sleep the first time and then come back fine. However the second time, the PC will sleep, then when I try to resume it'll look like it's doing it but only to do a full reboot or totally freeze up which require a full power off/on cycle.

I've had a good search around and seen solutions like disabling Sleep etc but that brings other issue to me.

I'm currently using the 1usmus Universal plan and the latest GB mobo bios.

Anyone had anything similar or tips on how I can solve?

Are you able to monitor voltages before and after the first sleep, see if anything changes? IIRC, some boards have voltage changes after waking from sleep which mess everything up.

What PSU you using.

In MSI bios there is an option to set the idle or sleep power to a higher wattage so that older PSU or certain PSU able to recognise that the PC is still on and will wake up etc. I had to run this option as my PSU is old-ish. I did run into your problem when PC went to sleep but never had it working first time then didn’t work second time as mine just didn’t wake first time round.

Thanks both - I'll try to see what I can do about monitoring voltages.

I'm using a Thermaltake smart Pro RGB 850w - seems pretty stable.

I'm using a Aorus Pro and 3900X and mine doesn't sleep well. It sleeps, then when trying to wake it it comes to life briefly then shuts down.

I tend not to use sleep tho, so never bothered to investigate.
