3900x PPT stuck at 142W.

Okay, so I know the 3900x PPT stock limit is 142W. But from what I've read PBO/XFR should be able to override this to the maximum spec of the MOBO which for me on my Crosshair VIII Hero is 395W. But no matter where I change it, it does nothing. I've changed it inside the BIOS, I've cleared the CMOS and changed it again without success. I've tried to do it through Ryzen Master, that doesn't work either. All my drivers are up to date (BIOS is 1 version behind).

I'm not sure if it's a bug or something else. But it's really annoying. Finally got PBO/XFR working decently and I'm being limited by PPT stuck at stock 100% with plenty of thermal headroom.

Just go into Bios and set a manual limit for PPT.
Increasing past the stock setting will gain some extra performance at the expense of Heat.
I actually use PPT to dial in my desired running temp.

I've mentioned that I've already done that. PPT no matter what I do doesn't go above 142W. It can go below but not above. There's only 2 things I can think of to do. One is to flash back the bios to an earlier version in the instance that this might be a bug (not something I want to do). The only other option is to reinstall Windows (something I REALLY don't want to do). I'm posting here to see if anyone has had similar issues and come up with a solution without me having to do the afore mentioned things. I've searched everywhere and can't find any other solutions.

You need someone who knows the Bios on that motherboard which is not me so sorry but cannot help.
You may get more attention if you post in the motherboard section.

I've already watched this video before. It doesn't help me in the slightest. My issue is nothing to do with performance. It's the fact that up to 142 PPT my 3900x won't draw any more when the board is rated for a PPT of 395...

Edit - I've done some more research. Seems I'm not the only one with the 142W limit. Though I've found no solution. I've flashed my bios and it'd still limited.

Have you tried testing performance using a benchmark like Cinebench with various PPT setting using either Ryzen Master Tool or the BIOS to see if there is any difference in score?

Maybe something is up with your motherboard. Put a ticket to them.

also might be good idea to ask the motherboard section of the forum and specifically regarding bios setting of your motherboard.

Yeah I've done so now. I've been on multiple forums looking for answers but I've submitted a ticket to Asus to see if they can help resolve the issue.
