Hi experts

My PC in sig is rock solid at 4.4ghz with a vcore of 1.405v. tried 4.5 at same vcore and handbrake crashes windows with an interrupt watchdog error. Temps were still I'n the 60s when it crashed. I've read upping vcore might get it stable at 4.5 but is my vcore a little high already?

If your temps are only 60c at 1.405v i would add more voltage you should be ok up to 1.45v its just the silicone lottery.

Keep an eye on those temps.

Hi, l was adviced for CPUv 1.35v max for air and 1.40v H2o cooled for 24/7 running and not by novice overclockers either.

Afew get away with pumping 1.45v through their CPU.

Google overclocking a 3930k plenty info out there.

I would class a AIO cooler the same as a decent air cooler.

So in that vein 1.35v would be my max vcore for 24/7 use.

Just because you have heat under control doesn't mean you ain't causing degradation.

Have a read of this

As for the watchdog error - there could be a host of reasons for that - not just vcore.
